First Members of Facebook

Before becoming the most popular social networking website in the world, Facebook operated as an internal network for Harvard students, including some people who shared class with Mark Zuckerberg and some others who were Zuckerberg’s roommates and helped him launch the site. As the result, most of the first Facebook accounts belong to Zuckerberg's friends. The social networking website then expanded to friends of friends across campus. It continued expanded to all colleges in the country and then the world.
