Hope Juarez - Ghostly Pale Baby "No Blood"

They are calling her the “ghost white baby.” For the parents of little Hope Juarez, they thought they would have to say goodbye to their infant daughter just a few hours after her birth. Hope was born with such a low count of hemoglobin, reports Yahoo! Shine on Tuesday, that doctors classified her as having no blood.
Hope Juarez was born in December last year at the medical center of the University of California, Irvine (United States of America). She is missing the necessary amount to 80% as a result of the hemorrhagic syndrome fetus in the womb.

Hope was born through caesarean section and given an emergency blood transfusion

"When they first pulled her out, she looked perfectly fine," said Juarez, 27, of Fountain Valley, Calif. "But she was ghost white. She was breathing like a normal baby, but she had no color to her--not even pink." Jennifer, the baby's mother, said on the ABC News website.

For dad Josh Juarez, he’ll never forget the first few moments after Hope’s birth, when doctors attempted to prick his infant’s foot to draw a little blood.
Hope, who was 6 pounds, 2 ounces, had a hemoglobin level of 3.8; an average baby should be between 10 and 15, according to doctors.

Hemorrhagic syndrome fetus in the womb occurs when the placenta does not cling to the surface of the uterus and fetal blood to hemorrhage the mother. This scenario usually occurs when the mother's belly insult vehicular accidents. However, in a few cases of this syndrome is the spontaneous.

The first signs of this syndrome is decreased fetal movement and Dr. Marielle Nair believes that the quick response of the mother before the phenomenon of Hope that helped save the baby's life.

"This is a rare special case by the boy born totally healthy. The mother has the exact sense something wrong with the baby. So she went to a right decision is the baby born at the right time. If there is any delay, the consequences are immeasurable, "the doctor said.
"In reality, the term 'ghost-baby' and description of 'being born without any blood' are not really accurate," she said. "I have definitely seen many cases of feto-maternal hemorrhage and while this particular case is very severe, babies can absolutely survive."
